The idea of ‘Vagus’- wanderer (latin) was born during covid times from our love for travel. And how things just changed. So, we thought to create a space where people could share their travel stories and relive the beautiful memories. Good food to go with a good story over an amazing cup of coffee or a glass of wine is what we aimed to create with our cafe mornings and tapas evenings. Housed in a heritage-listed building at Alderley Plaza, Vagus is an all-day dining destination. An evocative, inventive, exciting and highly curated menu offers guests the very best that Brisbane has to offer.

With dishes crafted to make use of the best local ingredients, Vagus’s cuisine, specialty coffee and signature drinks offer a truly immersive experience from morning through to the evening. Our bar features a variety of craft beers and specialty wines from around Australia and New Zealand, some of which we have personally enjoyed in our travels.

We are as passionate about coffee as we are about food. Our specialty coffee menu, featuring wolff coffee, includes classic espresso-based drinks as well as alternative brews, such as filter coffee and cold brew. If you are feeling adventurous, keep an eye out for experimental drink options created by our barista team, including seasonal coffee spritzers and tea or chocolate variety drinks.
